The Promenade is framed by the Mediterranean Sea and located in the South of France. The Promenade des Anglais was built by the English who traveled to Nice for the winter. It is quite a beautiful and popular location to visit. There are many things to do at the Promenade such as beaches, restaurants, and shopping.
Beaches at promenade des Anglais
The beaches are the most popular feature of this region, with the lush environment, the bars, and restaurants, and the private atmosphere. At the private beaches they provide lounge chairs and umbrellas for your enjoyment for a price, but shop around so you can get the cheapest price for your chair and umbrella usage.
If you go to the public beaches you can lay your towel down and enjoy your day without the amenities that the private beaches offer.
Restaurants and Hotels
While visiting the Promenade you can check out the eateries, the cafes, and the casinos for fun. Why not check out the Hotel Negresco for the pink dome that stretches above the city? Hotel Negresco is an architecture beauty to view, it is made with an art deco theme.
The Promenade boardwalk stretches up the hill side with amazing views of the country and the Sea. The boardwalk will end at the edge of the old Nice. Which is a shipping port with many restaurants and clubs, such as Le Bistrot du Port.
Best way to travel
The best way to travel while in Nice at the Promenade is by bike. The traffic is crazy and you can rent a bike at pretty much any location in the area. You can also catch the “little white train” that passes right by the Castle Hill and continues on its tour of the city.
Enjoy the atmosphere of the Promenade and the beaches and spend the best day of your life just relaxing in the glorious sun.
Jardin Albert 1er
This is a famous garden in Nice that was built in 1855-1895, even though the vegetation cannot bury itself too far into the ground it is quite lush with the green vegetation. Not only is there lush vegetation but some exquisite fountains reside here as well. While there check out the “Volti” fountain and the “Arch” of Bernard Venet.
When in Nice don’t forget to try some of the local cuisine and enjoy your stay in the luxurious hotels. Nice can be very mesmerizing and visiting it should be at the top of your list.
